🔥 Fired up about tech, marketing and media

Tesla Cyber Rodeo PartyIs there a company on earth right now with more momentum and hype than Tesla? In the same week Elon Musk became the largest shareholder in Twitter, his car company staged the ‘Cyber Rodeo’ event in Austin Texas to officially open the latest ‘Giga Factory’ and reveal the Cybertruck SUV will launch in 2023.
Whatever anyone thinks of Musk or the Tesla story, there’s no denying they have come a long way from the days of near bankruptcy only a few years back to now pushing the envelope with electric cars.Watch the event here
Unbundling of Advertising
Ben Evans’s piece on the unbundling of advertising offers a glimpse of the present and future of advertising. A couple of nuggets from his opening paragraph might surprise some:
“Amazon’s ad business is bigger than YouTube and more profitable than AWS. Shein is the biggest fast-fashion retailer in the US, with no stores.”
Nothing or Something
Nothing dropped their next product and product roadmap at their online launch event. Some might belittle what is a relatively small player in the big picture but personally I’m glad to see something new in smartphones after a period of rather boring products.
Watch ‘The Truth’ event here. What do you think of Nothing? Do they have a shot at shaking things up in the smartphone space?
